We take you on the funny tower of the Luma Foundation

This is the end of a ten-year project. This weekend marks the official opening of the Luma Foundation tower in Arles.

This singular building, 56 meters high and 15,000 m2, was designed by the Canadian architect Franck Gehry, known for having imagined the building that houses the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris. An 18-meter-high glass structure surrounds the main building, giving the impression of facing a cascade of mirrors.

The tower was built as part of a rehabilitation plan for the former Arles railway workshops, a vast 11 hectare industrial wasteland transformed into a creative campus and exhibition space under the leadership of Maja Hoffmann.
