There are some myths among gardeners about how to properly water lawns, borders and beds. A gardening expert explains how irrigation works – and which “rules” aren’t correct at all.

Water march! Usually in the early evening hours, gardeners turn on all the taps and flood the bone-dry beds. Anything that wants to grow needs water. Not only farmers are struggling with the dry summers of recent years, but also those who grow tubers and lettuce as a hobby. Watering is therefore becoming increasingly important.
