The mocking comments with regard to one of the last trips of Emmanuel Macron fuse on social networks, illustrated, for the most part, with two different photos. On the first, four vehicles follow each other along the same narrow lane, in a village, while the second shows a procession of about twenty vehicles lined up along a square.
If these two photos show the procession of vehicles accompanying the President of the Republic on the occasion of his travels, the second is taken out of context since it dates from three years ago.
FAKE OFF
The photo of the twenty vehicles was indeed taken on November 5, 2018 in Pont-à-Mousson (Meurthe-et-Moselle), during the “memorial tour” of Emmanuel Macron, during the commemorations of the First World War .
At the time, at the start of the “yellow vests” crisis, Internet users relaying this photo criticized above all the ecological impact and the fuel cost of such a procession.
