Bad Christmas surprise for Vladimir Putin’s air force on an illegal bombing mission in Ukraine.
In a complete surprise, the Ukrainian army shot down three state-of-the-art Russian Sukhoi Su-34 bombers over the Russian-occupied south of the country on Friday.

According to her, the Russian bombers were armed with FAB-500 glide bombs and targeted Ukrainian facilities on the south and north banks of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region.

While Russian propaganda initially claimed that THEY had shot down UKRAINIAN warplanes over Kherson, the army and war bloggers had to admit shortly afterwards: three of their own 40 million euro jets were taken out of the sky by a “modern NATO system”.

And numerous Ukrainian experts speculated that a high-tech “Patriot” anti-aircraft system that had just arrived from Germany was responsible for shooting down the Russian warplanes.

Probably not entirely by chance, the German Air Force tweeted almost simultaneously with the first reports of the downing of the Russian fighter jets: “We recently completed the second round of training of Ukrainian soldiers on our Patriot and delivered the second system.”
Russian war bloggers also confirmed that there had been “a tragedy near Krynky (Kherson),” “where the Ukrainian armed forces carried out a competent airstrike today in cooperation with Patriot and Awacs.”
