In another interview with CNBC in 2014, Buffett statedthat he “wouldn’t be surprised if Bitcoin didn’t last 10 or 20 years,” at which time He also said that Bitcoin cannot be considered a currency because of it. “Inevitably depends on the value of the dollar.”
In January 2018, Berkshire Hathaway Vice President Charlie Munger called Bitcoin a “rat poison.”
