Some people may now be worried: once again unions are announcing “massive warning strikes”, in this case it is Verdi and the Civil Service Association. They are currently fighting for higher salaries on behalf of around 2.5 million federal state civil servants and employees, including nursing staff and social workers, teachers and police officers. Are there now a risk of “super-strike days” again like in the spring, when on some days there were hardly any buses or trains running, daycare centers remained closed and garbage baskets were no longer emptied?
