Russia has unleashed a war in Ukraine. Numerous broadcasters report on the current situation in special programs.

There is war in Ukraine! Numerous German television stations are changing their programs on Thursday, February 24th, due to the Russian attack. With special broadcasts, they keep citizens up to date on short-term developments.

RTL and the news channel n-tv are broadcasting a joint special from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This will be moderated by Roberta Bieling (46) and Ulrich von der Osten (56). From 8:15 p.m. Maik Meuser (46) reports on the dramatic events in an “RTL Aktuell Spezial: War in Ukraine – Fear in Europe”. The football broadcast of the Europa League game between Glasgow Rangers and Borussia Dortmund will then start at 8:45 p.m. In addition, the “RTL Nachtjournal” from 11:45 p.m. will focus on the war in Eastern Europe.

ProSieben with special broadcast

ProSieben will show another special at 8:15 p.m. In “Ukraine Special. War in Europe” Linda Zervakis (46) and Claudia von Brauchitsch (47) report on the current situation. “Germany’s next top model” therefore only starts at 8:30 p.m.

ZDF is also changing its entire evening programme: the Chancellor’s speech will be broadcast at 7:25 p.m. A “ZDF Special” follows, including an interview with Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (41) and at 8:25 p.m. a “maybrit illner special”.

The first shows the “Tagesschau extra” from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The broadcaster announced that it may also be weaving other special programs into its current program at short notice.

The broadcaster phoenix has also been publishing special programs since 8:30 a.m. Primetime documentaries about the Soviet Union were also announced. At 10:30 p.m., the “Phoenix Runde” will talk about Putin’s attack. Another special broadcast will follow from 11:15 p.m.
