In protest against Russia’s war of aggression, a Latvian museum has put up a poster with Putin as a skull on its facade. Employees of the Russian embassy have the best chance of this.

In Latvia’s capital, Riga, the Museum of the History of Medicine has a large poster on its facade with an asSkull attached to stylized portrait of Vladimir Putin. This is to protest against Russia’s war of aggression and express solidarity with Ukraine.

The motif was designed by a Latvian artist and also adorns the cover of the current issue of the Latvian weekly magazine “Ir”. The employees of the Russian embassy have the best view of the poster, which is several meters high – it is located directly opposite the museum.

Street section renamed in protest against Russia

In protest against Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the city council of Riga recently decided to rename the section of street near the embassy and museum “Ukrainian Independence Street”. Latvia borders Russia and its ally Belarus. Like the other two Baltic states, Estonia and Lithuania, the EU and NATO country is seen internationally as an advocate of Ukraine.
