Despite all the justified complaints about the horror that the warlord Vladimir Putin and his generals are now bringing to Ukraine: West of Lviv, most people are not very aware of what could have happened if Putin had given the order for the invasion just a year and a half earlier. Then Joe Biden would not have ruled in the White House, who is now swearing by the unity of the free world and sending soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division to NATO’s eastern border to act as a deterrent – which is a highly symbolic move: In 1944, this division was the spearhead in the fight for freedom Europe against Nazi Germany. In Washington, the political horror clown who is now flattering Putin about how “brilliant” and “clever” his aggressive war against the hopelessly inferior Ukraine is, would have been up to mischief instead.
