The idea? Getting up in the morning almost ready! Treat yourself to luxury, rather, because it is an investment. Expensive and renewed at regular intervals, micropigmentation techniques allowing you to no longer have to wear makeup are similar to permanent hair removal, dental rhinestones or nail prostheses.
But between cosmetic products which are nevertheless expensive and cosmetic surgery, semi-permanent makeup may appear to be the ideal middle ground solution. A trend, on which 20 minutes asked beauty professionals.

The principle consists of having pigments applied to the epidermis using micro-needles, the color of the pigment being determined according to its skin tone.
The result is called “semi-permanent”, because it is necessary to do maintenance once a year when the pigment fades. Specialists warn that these services must only be carried out by qualified people who have mastered the codes of micropigmentation, skin structure and colometry. The color of the pigment is determined based on the client’s skin tone. “A blonde, for example, we will rather orient her towards a brown color for more softness,” says Gaëlle Boulanger, beauty professional specializing in semi-permanent makeup.
According to her, these methods are “a time saver” for women who want a guaranteed healthy glow in the morning, without the hassle. “This way of doing things is becoming more and more successful because we have less and less desire to spend time in the morning putting on makeup in front of a mirror,” she explains.
“To the untrained eye, it will be difficult to distinguish that it is permanent makeup,” continues Patritsia Tiuntsik, another professional, also a trainer. According to the latter, the enthusiasm for these techniques comes from the fact that they have evolved a lot to give more “natural” and “realistic” results than a few years ago.

1. Microblading or microshading
