The Wagenknecht wing has left the Left, but wants to remain in the Bundestag group for the time being. This is actually intolerable for the party, but it is in a big dilemma.
Of course, these are not yet valid figures, but it could perhaps be the first hint of a trend: In the Left Party, they counted more people joining the party than people leaving the party in the first 24 hours after the Wagenknecht wing split off. In the Berlin regional association, for example, according to SZ information, there were 23 entries and twelve exits. So it’s not a mass movement, but it is at least feeding faint hopes in party headquarters that the death knell for the left is once again ringing prematurely.
