There are increasing signs that Sahra Wagenknecht is preparing to found a new party. A club was apparently founded in their area last week that could be a precursor to this party. It bears the name “BSW – For Reason and Justice”, was registered at the Mannheim District Court on September 26, 2023, according to the association register, and is based in Karlsruhe. The chairman is Jonas-Christopher Höpken, who is a member of the federal committee of the Left party, for which Wagenknecht still sits in the Bundestag.
