Basically, there are three things that make life difficult for Rolf Buch: war, crisis and corruption. The first two points not only affect his Vonovia group, but the entire economy. The third, however, is homemade. And even if Buch emphasizes that “no allegations are being made against Europe’s largest landlord, we have been harmed” – the fact that investigators searched offices at the group’s headquarters at the beginning of last week is depressing the mood. And it could be better anyway.
