Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of the IAEA meet near the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant

Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, discussed on Monday the security of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, where the Ukrainian president was already traveling on Monday, “on the front line” on the southern front.

“I had a rich exchange with Volodymyr Zelensky about the protection” of the nuclear power plant “and its employees,” wrote Rafael Grossi on Twitter. The two leaders had agreed to meet on the site of a hydroelectric power station in Dnieper responsible for supplying the nuclear power station, occupied by the Russian army and regularly victim of power cuts.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky visited a command post of the operational group of troops for the Zaporozhye region, “on the front line” on the southern front. “Zaporozhie region. Front line positions. Last week, Volodymyr Zelensky had moved to the Kherson region, partially occupied by Russia, after going near Bakhmout, the epicenter of the fighting in the east, and in the Kharkiv region. On Telegram, Volodymyr Zelensky said he was “certain” of a Ukrainian victory against Russia, after more than a year of war against the Moscow army.
