Volkswagen – Considerations for further IPOs – Economy

Volkswagen boss Oliver Blume sees Porsche’s IPO as a model for increasing the group’s stock market value as a whole. The individual brands are to go through virtual IPOs. Volkswagen intends to present the results at a capital market day next year. Then the potential in the group should become visible, said Blume. The group is valued on the stock exchange with a so-called conglomerate discount because of its many subsidiaries from mass manufacturers such as VW, Skoda and Seat, to premium brands such as Audi and Porsche, to the truck and bus manufacturers from Traton or the motorcycle brand Ducati. Now there should be dry runs of the individual brands for an IPO.
