Respond to messages with a video – this is now possible with WhatsApp. The messenger service has introduced a new function that allows users to exchange information. The whole thing works in a similar way to a voice message, but is limited in time. Where can you find the new video function?
How much time do you have for the recording?
The new feature is designed to respond to chats in real time. The user has 60 seconds to communicate with his counterpart. “For example, you can wish someone a happy birthday, laugh at a joke or deliver good news,” WhatsApp explains the function on the company’s blog.
How to send a video message in WhatsApp?
Sending a video should be just as easy as sending a voice message. The user just needs to short-click the voicemail icon to switch to video mode. If the icon for videos is now displayed, hold the button down. Then a short countdown begins. The video message is then recorded. As with voice messages, there’s also the option to swipe up to record for hands-free recording.
Why can’t I hear any sound in the video message?
Videos are automatically played in mute when opened in chat. The sound only starts when you tap on the video. The feature has already been introduced on many devices. It should be available to all users in the coming weeks.
