Vitalik Reveals Remaining Milestones on the Ethereum Roadmap – Bitcoin Addict

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has released a technical roadmap of Ethereum, which aims to improve the anti-censorship and decentralization of the Ethereum network.

The roadmap of the Ethereum network is cheap.revealBy Buterin in a Twitter post on November 5th – which introduced the Scourge in the now extended six-part technical roadmap.

After Ethereum switched to a network Proof-of-stake (PoS) on Sept. 15, Ethereum is now in its second phase — the Surge — with a goal of 100,000 transactions per second through rollups.

In the updated roadmap, Scourge is now inserted as the third stage, followed by previously known stages — the Verge, the Purge, and Splurge.

As per Ethereum’s roadmap, the Scourge’s goal is to “ensure unbiased and reliable transaction integration. and to avoid centralization and other protocol risks from MEV.”

Ethereum is currently associated with a higher level of centralization and censorship after the Merge, with the percentage of blocks compliant with the US Bureau of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) censoring reached 73% as of May 3. This is a number that many people consider too high.

The Daily Gwei, Anthony Sassano, previously said on Twitter on Oct. 15 that its resistance to censorship is It’s “more important than scaling” right now.

While all the details of the Scourge have not been revealed. The Ethereum co-founder also offers a “Partial Block Auction” method in which bloggers are only allowed to decide certain blocks of content.

Other proposals to combat censorship at the consensus layer have also been proposed such as Flashbots R&D company, Single Unifying Auctions for Value Expression (SUAVE) solution

Buterin also confirmed the Verge update will now involve the integration of the Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge (SNARK) technology with Ethereum.

SNARK will add much-needed privacy features to the Ethereum network while still allowing anonymous transaction tracking.

Buterin also noted that “a more explicit role for quantum-proofness” will be implemented in various phases of the Ethereum roadmap.”
