Payments company Visa has ended its partnership with FTX as well as crypto debit cards amid the exchange’s ongoing meltdown.
“The situation with FTX is dire and we are monitoring developments closely,” a Visa spokesperson said. “We have terminated our global agreement with FTX and US crypto debit cards are being suspended by their issuers.”
In October, FTX announced it was launching Visa debit cards in more than 40 countries, with Latin America coming first.
Other companies have previously tried to break away from FTX after last week’s events. which ended up filing for bankruptcy
