When Virginia Giuffre describes in television interviews how Prince Andrew was sweating – in a London nightclub in March 2001, a few hours before he is said to have sexually abused her – she raises her hands and spreads her fingers, simulating a moderate rain shower. She also counts on her fingers what Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell did to make their system of sexual exploitation look like a normal thing: going to the movies together, hiking, scuba diving together so that it “felt like they were we’re a completely crazy family”.
