Pink goes on tour again – and takes her daughter with her. The eleven-year-old gets a job in Mama’s entourage and is paid the minimum wage.
Pink released her ninth studio album “Trustfall” last week, and the singer wants to go on tour with it in the summer. She will also be joined by her 11-year-old daughter Willow and six-year-old son Jameson – and not just as a moral support to mom. At least Willow should get a real, paying job on the tour, Pink said on the TV show Today.
Pink did not want to reveal exactly what the girl’s tasks will be. But the eleven-year-old should be paid appropriately like an adult, according to the minimum wage. “We had to go above minimum wage, which is different in every state,” Pink explained. The federal minimum wage in the US is $7.25 per hour, but states can raise the minimum wage. It is currently highest in Washington, DC at $16.10 per hour.

That’s certainly a lot of money for an eleven-year-old girl, but Pink has realized that she has to teach her daughter to negotiate better salaries in the future. “I said, ‘It’s about $22.50 a show, depending on how long it takes and if I overdraw.’ And she said, ‘I’ll take $20, it’s easier to calculate.’ So I thought, ‘That’s how you negotiate.’ not his salary,” said the 43-year-old. Instead, she rounded the amount up to $25—which, after all, is pretty good at calculating.

Pink starts her tour in June with performances in Europe, in Germany stops in Munich, Cologne and Hanover are planned.
