A violent brawl involving many detainees took place inside the prison center of Perpignan, Saturday, according to the union Ufap UNSA Justice. The facts happened during the walk.
“Several groups clashed, certainly for a turf war with rare violence”, details the union, referring to trafficking and racketeering between prisoners. “Four detainees, identified and well known to the penitentiary, were placed in the disciplinary unit and all the detainees were searched in order to possibly find weapons”.
An 8 cm blade discovered the next day
If no object of this type was found on Saturday, an 8 cm blade was discovered on Sunday morning in the neutral zone of the men’s remand center, “an object certainly swung” the day before. The majority union within the Ministry of Justice calls for “exemplary sanctions so that the establishment can regain calm” and the transfer of belligerents and leaders to other remand centers.
In the morning, a man had also been arrested after throwing a dozen packages from outside the prison, recovered by the surveillance agents in the courtyard. The “projector”, for his part, was arrested by the police.
