Video: Violence at Nigerian presidential election count

STORY: Several men stormed a polling station in Lagos during the presidential and parliamentary elections in Nigeria. Fifteen people posing as poll workers used knives and sticks to attack Labor officials while they were counting ballots, video released Sunday showed. Soldiers were able to repel the attack. Three candidates are given significant chances in the presidential elections. The ex-governor of the state of Lagos, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, are considered representatives of the political establishment. The Labor Party’s Peter Gregory Obi, who also has experience as governor of one of the 36 states and is particularly popular with young voters, is considered a challenger with outsider chances. Final results are not expected until later this week.
