STORY: According to a federal court, former US President Donald Trump deliberately spread false information about voter fraud after the 2020 presidential election. Trump made false statements about alleged fraud numbers in court documents and in public, even though he knew the numbers were wrong, a judge in the US state of California said on Wednesday. On that basis, he revoked attorney-client privilege for several emails between Trump and his attorney, John Eastman, as the communication served to further a crime. Eastman must now disclose the emails to the investigative committee into the Jan. 6 Capitol storming. Actually, Eastman wanted to prevent exactly that with his lawsuit. Trump has maintained claims that the 2020 election defeat was the result of widespread fraud even after leaving office last year.
