Video: Underwater footage is said to show a destroyed gas pipeline

STORY: This underwater footage was published by the Swedish newspaper “Expressen”. The images are intended to show the drastic damage to the Nord Stream 1 line in the Baltic Sea. According to the newspaper, an underwater drone was sent to a depth of around 80 meters on Monday. According to the newspaper’s report, at least 50 meters of the ruptured Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline is missing or buried under the seabed. Swedish police and prosecutors suspect that the leaks that occurred at Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 on September 26 were caused by deliberate blasting. The case is currently under investigation. The authorities assume an act of gross sabotage. The police in Copenhagen, who are investigating the damage in the two pipelines, also said on Tuesday that the holes discovered on the Danish side of the Baltic Sea border were apparently caused by “strong explosions”. However, it is still completely unclear who could be behind these alleged acts of sabotage.
