Video: Truck drivers in South Korea: Brushed up on ongoing strike

STORY: Protest action in South Korea. Members of a truck drivers’ union held several rallies across the country on Tuesday, such as here at the Uiwang transport hub. Together they pledged to continue the industrial action that has been going on for days, as a local union leader confirms: “The union leaders are shaving our heads, along with members of 16 union branches across the country, to increase our will to fight and with our strike successes as the government has even ordered a return to work at the moment.” A minimum wage system is required. However, the government is not prepared to extend existing regulations beyond the next three years. Negotiations are expected to resume on Wednesday.
