Truck demo against high fuel prices
STORY: With loud horns, numerous truck drivers in Hamburg protested against the high fuel prices on Saturday. The parade of tractors left Hamburg-Allermöhe towards the city center in the morning. For example, banners read “Fuel prices down – otherwise empty shelves” or “Insolvency – German freight forwarding trade”. According to the police, about 250 trucks were involved. The Hamburg police had warned in advance of road closures and called on people to use public transport or to drive around the affected areas.
In Hamburg, numerous drivers drove through the city in a truck parade.
