The agreement goes hand in hand with unreasonable demands on all coalition partners, said Greens co-boss Ricarda Lang. Ricarda Lang (Die Grünen), federal chairwoman: “A strong topic in this coalition committee was the topic of climate protection and transport. Here, too, one of the most complicated things to make progress on climate protection. And we agreed that Deutsche Bahn has a need for investment in the coming years years by 2027 of 45 billion euros. That’s a huge package. That’s a huge need.” Therefore, the truck toll will also be increased from 2024, and 80 percent of this will flow into the expansion of the rails.
