Video: This woman reports from an isolation ward in Shanghai

STORY: NOTE: This post will be broadcast without narration. “An ambulance picked me up from my home. We were brought here by coach. They let me and a few others off there, I guess they were all the people who had no symptoms. The staff checked again to see if we had any symptoms had or not, and whether we needed help.” “And then we came here. Here they gave us beds and we also received a small welcome pack – two packs of wet wipes, disinfectant, a basket and a towel, which counts as a shower here.” “The building housing the quarantine center is an exhibition hall from the Shanghai Expo.” “It’s very spacious here, which is good. A lot of people are walking around. We have enough space for our morning walks.” “We get food three times a day, the food is okay. There are vegetables, salad and meat.” “But there are no showers and we’re not allowed to receive packages. You can’t get food or anything from home.” “Those people monitor my temperature three times a day. And they also come at night. I only hear people sneezing or coughing, I don’t know anyone who has a high fever, but maybe I’m wrong because this place is huge.” “There is no official information and no plans whatsoever – we don’t know when we will leave, nor do we have any idea how many tests it will take to get out of here. We have no idea when we will do tests. So yeah, we don’t know.”
