VIDEO. The All Blacks’ heckled haka before the quarter-final against Ireland

It’s always a special moment. The haka electrifies the crowds and the Stade de France was no exception this Saturday October 14 before the kick-off of the quarter-final of the Rugby World Cup between Ireland and New Zealand.

Before the kick-off of this clash between two of the favorite nations, the New Zealanders performed their traditional haka in front of the 75,000 spectators in Saint-Denis. A powerful haka, led by Aaron Smith, the 34-year-old scrum half, equipped with a traditional Waka paddle, the small Maori fishing canoes, used for river transport or fishing.

The chosen Kapa o Pango

As during the one performed against France, the Kapa o Pango was chosen, the most warlike and aggressive formula of the haka.

Note that the Irish supporters, in large numbers at the Stade de France, did not stop their singing during the dance whereas usually, the stadium remains silent during the haka. The meeting was therefore already underway.
