STORY: Early Sunday morning, special police forces arrested a 32-year-old Iranian citizen in Castrop-Rauxel who is suspected of carrying out an “Islamist-motivated” poison attack. The man is said to have obtained the deadly poisons cyanide and ricin, the investigators in North Rhine-Westphalia said. A second person was arrested during the search. The public prosecutor’s office said that a decision on whether to issue an official arrest warrant would be made at a later date. The investigations are ongoing. The natural toxin ricin is found in the seeds of the miracle tree and can be deadly even in small amounts.
