Zelenskyi: Don’t count the Russian withdrawal as a victory

STORY: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi does not want to count the withdrawal of Russian troops from several areas as a victory. In a video speech on Thursday, Selenskyj warned against prematurely deducing that one could celebrate success. Addressing the nation on Thursday, he said it was probably just a Russian tactic. According to the British Defense Ministry, Russia is moving troops from Georgia to Ukraine. With the troop transfer, Russia apparently wants to step up its invasion of Ukraine. The transfer is seen as an indication of Russia’s unexpected losses. In Mariupol, however, which is besieged by Russian forces, the rescue of residents threatens to fail again. Tens of thousands of civilians there have been cut off from all supplies for weeks. There had been several evacuation attempts in the past few weeks. However, the Russian and Ukrainian camps blame each other for the shelling preventing civilians from safely leaving the city in the south-east of the country. For the most part, the information from the war zones cannot be independently verified.
