STORY: The Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, occupied by Russian troops, remains under Russian control, according to the Russian administration in Enerhodar. The occupation administration in the southern Ukrainian city where the nuclear power plant is located reacted to statements made by the head of the Ukrainian energy supplier Energoatom. He said on Sunday that information had been received for a few weeks that there were signs that Russian troops might be preparing to withdraw. He referred to Russian media reports in which a possible handover of control over the nuclear power plant to the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA was described as worthwhile. “This information is not true,” explains the crew administration. Russia took control of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant in March. It will continue to be run by Ukrainian staff.
