Oslo in a very special light

The Norwegian capital Oslo lit up the long night at this year’s Fjord Oslo Light Festival on Friday. Several installations had, among other things, the topic of the environment as their content. Anastasia Isachsen, founder of the festival, reflects with her impressive work the rhythm of the universe: birth, life, death and rebirth. “My installation, this projection onto a water screen called Monad, is a reflection on the cycle of life after we got messed up by the pandemic. It got us all to think about what life is about and how fragile life is. But the work also shows a larger cycle, that is, the circle of our life and the circle of the entire universe. So it is also a reflection on our chance for a new beginning. ” The various outdoor installations were unfortunately of a very short-lived nature. The curious observer only had three nights to marvel at the art in public space in the center of the Norwegian capital.
