STORY: According to Polish information, the leaky Druzhba oil pipeline from Russia to Central Europe has resumed operations. Polish operator PERN said it had restored the pipeline’s full functionality, allowing oil to be delivered to German customers again. The cause of the leak is still under investigation. In the accident in central Poland, large amounts of oil got into the ground on Tuesday and had to be pumped out. After noting the damage on Tuesday, PERN said there was no evidence that third parties had caused the leak.
