New sanctions demanded after “massacre” in Bucha

STORY: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba accuses Russia of having committed a massacre in Bucha. One is still looking for bodies, there are already hundreds. After the withdrawal of Russian troops, dead people were lying on the streets. Russian soldiers would have killed civilians when they were there and when they left these places and villages. The G7 countries would have to impose “crushing” sanctions on Russia. Russia has not yet commented on the allegations. The presidential office had previously denied several times that Russian troops were attacking civilians. The EU also accuses the Russian army of atrocities in the region around Kyiv. The European Union supports Ukraine in documenting war crimes, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell tweeted. He was shocked. All cases would have to be brought before the International Court of Justice. Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock expressed her outrage at the actions of the troops in a tweet. The pictures from Bucha are unbearable. Putin’s unbridled violence is wiping out innocent families and knows no bounds. Those responsible for these war crimes must be held accountable: sanctions against Russia will be tightened and Ukraine will be given even more support in its defense. According to an agency report, Russia expresses the hope that the governments in Moscow and Kyiv will be able to sign some kind of peace agreement at the end of the negotiations. As a result, Russia also confirms that all goals of the “special military operation” in Ukraine will be achieved.
