Video: Leak in Nord Stream 2 pipeline discovered after massive pressure drop

STORY: According to the operator, there was a massive pressure drop in the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline on Monday. The Danish energy authority named a leak in the gas pipeline near the island of Bornholm as the cause. The pressure fell from 105 to seven bar during the night, the pipeline operator announced on Monday. The controversial pipeline from Russia to Germany, which costs billions, has been completed but has no operating license due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The problem does not affect the natural gas supply. The federal government says it is working with the Danish authorities to find the cause of the incident. According to Danish maritime authorities, ships have to bypass the Bornholm area for safety reasons.
