Video: Julia Roberts and George Clooney back on screen together

STORY: Oscar winners Julia Roberts and George Clooney are back on screen together. At the world premiere of “Ticket to Paradise” in London, they shared how much fun they had filming. Clooney: “We could just tease each other, that was funny.” In the romantic comedy, the veteran cast play a divorced couple who overcome feuds and differences to keep their daughter from marrying her crush. Together they travel to Bali, where daughter Lily has just met her fiancé, Gede. The young couple is played by the Indonesian Maxime Bouttier and the American Kaitlyn Dever. Shooting with world stars Clooney and Roberts was a special experience for both of them. Dever: “First it was really exciting when you hear their names and you’re like, oh that’s George Clooney, really George Clooney, and then there’s Julia Roberts, and then they’re both together. And then you meet them, and the nervousness goes away, and you can just see them as normal people, and they’re really nice.” Bouttier: “It was really surreal. I mean, I saw the movie Oceans and I loved the dynamic between the two of them, just really authentic. That’s exactly how it was when we shot Ticket. You can tell that they really are the best are friends and it’s just nice to see that. So it was really like a dream come true.” This dynamic can be seen in a scene where the parents act out on the dance floor of a club and embarrass their daughter.Asked if this has happened to her in real life, Roberts said: “Well, me I do things that my kids find embarrassing. Not on purpose of course, I think I’m really grumpy and they’re more like that, mum…” Clooney: “Nobody’s said grumpy for 35 years, just FYI.” The film, directed by Ol Parker, is the fifth film to star Roberts and Clooney together. The worldwide theatrical release is planned for September 12th.
