A spokesman for the US Attorney’s office in Manhattan confirmed the arrest of Sam Bankman-Fried on Monday. “Today, at the request of the US government, authorities in the Bahamas arrested Bankman-Fried based on a sealed indictment from the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York,” said Attorney Damian Williams. He expects the indictment to be read Tuesday morning. Bankman-Fried had earlier denied allegations of fraud.
