Video: Historic Nasa lunar mission just before launch

STORY: The imposing rocket is ready on the premises of the Kennedy Space Center in the US state of Florida. A new chapter in space history is supposed to be written here on Monday. “Artemis 1” is the name of this historically significant Nasa mission towards the moon, which is being followed closely around the world. And it looks good that the long-awaited launch will also work, although thunderstorms passed over the area before the planned launch. The plan is to take off early Monday afternoon, German time. The SLS rocket is 98 meters high and is designed to launch the unmanned Orion capsule into lunar orbit. Around 1000 sensors will monitor the flight until it returns to earth in around 40 days. The mission is the preparation for a trip to the moon in the year 2025. And these experiences should then in turn prepare expeditions to Mars.
