Video: Halver: “The capital market year 2022 reminded us that stocks are risky assets.”

STORY: Looking back and forward on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on the last working day in this year 2022. Robert Halver from Baader Bank took stock on Friday in Frankfurt: “The capital market year 2022 reminded us that shares are risky securities. That they are too can slip down. That there are not only one-way streets up. And of course we had a lot of crises that came up at the same time. That has never happened before in my career. But when you look at the stock market levels , then we got away with two black eyes.” And what does the stock exchange expert predict for the coming year 2023? “Of course, the next stock market year, 2023, will not be without its problems. And the problems we have will not go away just fine. We still have China shutting the economic doors. We have the Russian conflict with Ukraine. We have them Fear of inflation and interest rates. But, you have to say that too: Expectations for next year are so low. That’s a huge advantage for the stock markets and especially for shares. If the crises then move down a bit, thaw out like the snow in spring, so to speak, we will also see that the stock market can rise again. So the pessimistic attitude for next year is too great for me.” But opinions differ about the prospects for the coming year. Analysts have different views on whether investors can breathe a sigh of relief. While some are cautiously optimistic and expect growth in the second half of the year, others are not ruling out a crash in the same period. It will therefore be interesting to see what investors can expect in the coming year.
