Video: flight recorder found on the aircraft involved in the accident in Nepal

STORY: After a passenger plane crashed in Nepal, emergency services found the black box of the crashed plane. The two black boxes are in good condition, said an official at the capital’s Kathmandu airport. The investigators hope that the data will provide information about what could have led to the worst air accident in Nepal in 30 years. The machine, with 72 people on board, fell into a ravine on Sunday on the way from Kathmandu to Pokhara, about 200 kilometers to the west, on approach to land. An eyewitness said: “I live right next door. The plane crashed onto a cliff right above my house… one of the wings is still there on the edge. After the impact, it rolled over on our side and burst into flames. As we heard the sound, we looked out and saw a huge ball of fire in the air.” By Monday morning, 68 bodies had been recovered. The search for the four missing inmates continued. According to Yeti Airlines, 15 foreigners were among the passengers. Germans were not on board. Pokhara is one of the popular tourist destinations in Nepal, including as a starting point for trekking tours in the Annapurna mountain range. Air accidents are not uncommon in Nepal. In the country with the highest mountains in the world, sudden weather changes can make flying conditions difficult. According to the aviation authority, the weather was clear when the crash happened on Sunday.
