Fire on container ship under control
The fire on a container ship off the west coast of Canada is apparently under control. The Canadian Coast Guard announced on Sunday. On Saturday several containers caught fire on board the “Zim Kingston”. The ship had also loaded chemical substances for mining. Dozens of containers had gone overboard in the accident. Apparently nobody was injured in the fire. Experts from Canada and the USA tried to rescue the containers floating in the water. The authorities announced that they pose a significant environmental hazard.
