Video: Clean up after the earthquake

STORY: More than a week after the devastating earthquakes that killed more than 37,000 people in Turkey and Syria, rescuers continue to search for survivors. And again and again they find living people under the rubble – like this girl and a woman. They were buried for more than 140 hours. Elsewhere, cleanup efforts have begun. Heavy equipment pushes the debris into huge piles of rubble. Turkey’s worst earthquake in nearly a century could cost Ankara as much as $84.1 billion, economists estimate. The Turkish government assumes more than 50 billion dollars. The rescue phase of the operation is drawing to a close, with the focus shifting to providing people with food and shelter, the United Nations said.
