Video: Biden’s Mexico visit: Encourage more cooperation

STORY: In the run-up to the North America Summit, US President Joe Biden traveled to Mexico. At the start of his two-day visit to Mexico City, Biden met his Mexican counterpart Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Monday evening. The two invoked the partnership between their countries, but also revealed differences. Among other things, López Obrador called for an end to “the contempt for Latin America”. He also campaigned for closer economic, political and social cooperation on the American continent. Biden also spoke out in favor of this. However, he emphasized that the USA had already done a lot for the countries on the continent in recent years. The view must also be directed to other regions of the world. A North America summit is planned for Tuesday in Mexico City, which will be attended by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alongside López Obrador and Biden. Among other things, this involves the issue of migration.
