Beached whale in Portugal
STORY: Many onlookers came together to see a 10 meter long whale on the beach of Almada in Portugal. According to experts, it was a sperm whale weighing about 15 tons. Biologist Marina Sequeira was not very optimistic on Friday in Almada, south of Lisbon: “At this point, he has very little chance of survival. We have to wait until he dies. There is no other way.” According to the authorities, the marine mammal was washed up early Friday morning. All attempts to save the whale had been unsuccessful. The only remaining hope is that with the help of the tide they can get him back into deeper water. But according to the biologists, the chances are extremely slim.
