The eruption of the volcano Cumbre Vieja on La Palma in the Atlantic offers new, spectacular images for professional camera teams and onlookers every day. They were also available on Sunday morning – at a safe distance – to watch the natural spectacle. There is something extraordinary not only for the eyes, but also for the ears. The noise that accompanies the eruption sounds like the sound of the ocean, but is caused by the eruption. But such an outbreak, of course, is not only beautiful. Although there have been no reports of injuries so far, around 2,000 houses were destroyed and thousands of people had to go to safety on official orders. Hundreds of hectares of vegetation have been buried under lava and ash.
