Free voters boss Hubert Aiwanger remains deputy prime minister in Bavaria. Prime Minister Markus Söder said in a short-term press conference on Sunday that a dismissal in the leaflet affair would not be proportionate. He pointed out that the incident was around three and a half decades ago and that there had been no comparable events since then.
