Agreement in abuse case against Prince Andrew
Britain’s Prince Andrew has apparently reached an agreement with plaintiff Virginia Giuffre in the alleged sexual abuse case. This emerged from a court filing on Tuesday. Accordingly, the lawyers of both sides agreed to pay an undisclosed sum. The American sued the Duke of York last August. Giuffre accused him of sexually abusing her over two decades ago at the age of 17, organized by multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in his prison cell in 2019. Queen Elizabeth II stripped her second eldest son of all military ranks and patronage because of the scandal. According to the court filing, in the out-of-court settlement, Andrew also expresses his intention to make a sizeable donation to Giuffre’s charity to support abuse victims.
According to court documents, the lawyers agreed on a settlement between the British royal and the plaintiff Giuffre.
