Video: Acquittal for Kevin Spacey

STORY: It’s a legal victory for Kevin Spacey Thursday in Manhattan. The New York court jury found that the man who accused the US actor of sexual harassment did not provide sufficient evidence. The verdict in the civil trial, which lasted several weeks, came after the jury had deliberated for around two hours. 50-year-old actor Anthony Rapp, best known in the US for his work in a Broadway musical, has testified that Spacey made an unwanted sexual advance towards him when he was just 14 years old. Spacey denied this and stated that he had never been alone with Rapp. The defenders of the US star questioned Rapp’s memories of the meeting in 1986, for example questioned his information about a bedroom, since Spacey lived in a one-room apartment at the time. Spacey’s lawyers presented the allegations as an invention. The two-time Oscar winner’s career took a tumble after more than 20 men accused him of sexual misconduct starting in 2017. Spacey denies the allegations.
