Municipal transport buses and trains will now be at a standstill. The Verdi union is calling on its members to go on a warning strike this Friday. Around 130 companies throughout Germany are affected, with the exception of Bavaria.

Once again, a strike is likely to have a significant impact on local public transport in Germany. In the collective bargaining dispute with the municipal transport companies, the Verdi union is calling its members for next Friday Warning strike. More than 130 companies and 90,000 employees across almost all of Germany are affected. Only Bavaria is exempt. You can read an overview of where exactly the strike should take place here:

In the southwest, Verdi has called on employees of municipal transport companies in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Heilbronn, Freiburg, Baden-Baden, Esslingen and Konstanz to stop work. The union expects that no buses or trains from the striking companies will run in these cities on Friday.
